Harrow Mosque has been given special permission to open all night tonight into the morning of July 4 for a religious festival.
Harrow Council has said it will monitor the event and consult mosque neighbours afterwards.
A dedicated noise officer has been appointed in case of problems during the event. Residents can contact Mr Azmat Ali on 07784 927045.
The Olympic torch will be passing through Harrow on Wednesday, July 25 with residents set to line the route and cheer it along.
The torch will set off from Headstone Manor at 9.15am and travel through Wealdstone and onto Station Road, arriving at the Civic Centre at around 9.45am.
It will continue through Harrow town centre then down Sudbury Hill into Brent.
A range of activities involving local schools and community groups will take place along the route.
About 30 torch bearers will carry the torch through Harrow including some Harrow residents.
