Harrow residents are being invited to trade in old clothing for a whole new wardrobe at a clothes swapping event on Saturday, January 26.
The “Swishing” event at Gayton Library is being run by Harrow Council with West London Waste and is seen as a cheap and eco-friendly way of getting new clothes.
Anyone who wants to take part must bring at least one good quality item of clothing, shoes or accessories, which are swapped for tokens that can then be used to get “new” items. You can trade up to 10 things.
People can drop off clothes from 11am and then have their pick of the clothing from 1pm to 2pm. Read the “rules” of the event here.
