New measures to improve traffic safety and limit congestion in Rosslyn Crescent and Frognal Avenue have been agreed.
Changes including tighter parking restrictions outside Harrow Mosque were signed off by the council’s portfolio holder for environment and community safety at a recent meeting.
The decision follows two consultations with residents and others. Local people rejected the idea of a 24-hour CPZ but wanted new double yellow lines and “no loading at any time” restrictions.
The new road markings will be done in the autumn at the earliest.
Council officials have told HCRA that the measures should help make it easier to enforce parking restrictions and tackle drivers who persist in parking illegally near the mosque.
