Get ready for dump run day!

HCRA’s annual Dump Run Day is nearly here!

The event on Saturday, April 26, will involve a team of volunteers taking junk to the town dump as well as picking up litter and clearing weeds.

All residents in our three roads have to do is leave their rubbish on the pavement outside their homes in the morning.

The event is free but if you can afford it then we do ask for some kind of donation towards the hire of the van. If you have loads of junk to get rid of then please give generously!

This year we’re also collecting good quality unwanted items in aid of the RSPCA. You will get a special RSPCA charity bag through your door so please fill it with unwanted clothes, books, DVDs and ornaments.

Leave bags on the pavement on the morning of Dump Run Day and helpers from the RSPCA will collect them. If you need more bags then email: chair@hcra.org.uk

When it comes to junk, we will take most things to the dump but cannot dispose of builders’ rubble, tyres or oil.

If you have a bulky item like a fridge or sofa you want to get rid of then please contact us in advance by emailing chair@hcra.org.uk or by calling 07980 854097

Everyone is welcome to take part on the day – the more, the merrier. Meet in Woodlands Road at about 9am. Call the number above if you need any more information.

We’ll also be collecting the annual £3 per household subscription to HCRA and gathering email addresses for a new email newsletter.
