A Christian group has announced it intends to apply for planning permission to turn the bingo hall above the Safari Cinema into a church.
The Victory to Victory group currently operates from temporary premises in Wembley but said it was looking for a new permanent base.
As well as establishing a place of worship, the group hopes to run a range of community services including language and technology courses, leadership programmes for young adults and offer rehabilitation for ex-offenders.
The group is consulting local people before submitting its planning application and is staging a drop-in session on Tuesday, September 30 at Victoria Hall in Sheepcote Road from 4pm to 8pm.
