Residents have the chance to show off their baking skills in a competition to make a cake “fit for a Queen”.

The competition is one of the activities taking place at the HCRA Jubilee Street Party in Rosslyn Crescent on Sunday, June 5.

Would-be Mary Berrys are being asked to bake – or decorate – a cake to be in with the chance of winning a £25 shopping voucher.

There are no rules – only that the cake must be “fit for a Queen”. Any type of cake is acceptable, including cupcakes and tray bakes.

The competition is open to bakers of all ages and will be judged by HCRA chair Brett Lake-Benson.

The street party – from 12.30pm to 5.30pm – will also feature activities for children including face-painting and craft activities.
