HCRA street party – what to expect

HCRA residents are getting ready for our Jubilee street party on Sunday, 5th of June. This is what is happening:

What time is the street party? We have permission to close a section of Rosslyn Crescent from 10am to 7pm. The party itself starts at 12.30pm and finishes at 5.30pm.

Do I have to move my car? If you live in numbers 6-38 or 39-79 please move your car out of the party zone the night before or before 10am on the 5th.

Who is invited? Everyone who lives in Rosslyn Crescent, Frognal Avenue and Woodlands Road plus friends and family.

What should we bring? Bring a table and chairs to help create a giant lunch table, if you can. Residents are also encouraged to bring food to share. If you have food allergies or special dietary requirements please bring food you can eat.

Can we light a BBQ? If you live in Rosslyn then why not have a BBQ in your front garden? BBQs should not be set up on the pavement or in the road.

How do I enter the cake competition? The cake competition is open to children and adults. There are no rules – all you have to do is bake (or simply decorate) a “Cake fit for a Queen” to be in with the chance of winning a £25 shopping voucher.

Will there be activities for children? Activities for children will include face-painting, a royal treasure hunt, pavement drawing and craft activities.

What happens if it rains? The street party will go ahead no matter the weather. We will be setting up a marquee so there will be some shelter from the elements.
